Giving and Receiving: After children and pregnant and nursing mothers are fed, servers with coolers and 5-gallon buckets full of food fan out to serve as many as several thousand people seated in concentric circles. Staple foods such as rice, beans, lentils, potatos, veggie soup and whole wheat bread are prepared by all-volunteer kitchens with names like Granola Funk, Shama Lama Ding Dong, Morningstar, Millieways, Jah Love, NERF, Somebody's, Sprout Garden and Everybody's Lovin' Ovens.
